The Quarry: Middle School

Pastor of Student Ministries: Dan Greene

Meets: Sunday nights from 6:30-8

Location: Youth Room (located on the lower level, south side of the building)

The Quarry is a group of young men and women in middle school learning how to follow Jesus. We connect with Jesus and each other in our big group gathering on Sunday nights. Kids come in and meet other kids and leaders. We fellowship together, play games, sing praises, and hear the Word.

We grow together in community through our small group Bible studies (Stones and GEMS) where we press deeper into the Word and seek to challenge kids on a more individual level in their walk with Christ. We also "Grow" through relationships with leaders. The leaders of the Quarry seek not only to pour into kids during our group meetings, but also throughout the week. Paul, in 1 Thess 2:8, says, "Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us." We seek to build relationships that can then become device by which God speaks directly into the lives of our young people. Lastly, we serve through participation in opportunities where we join with other ministries in the church and through special opportunities implemented by our "Grow" groups. Overall, we seek to meet with kids on a Sunday night, get them plugged into a small-group Bible study, and then encourage them to take what they have learned and experienced and live it out in the community.

SIX57: High School

Pastor of Student Ministries: Dan Greene

Meets: Wednesdays at 6:57pm

Location: Youth Room (located on the lower level, south side of the building)

At 657, we connect at our weekly Wednesday night gatherings and other fellowship opportunities. On Wednesday nights, students are given the opportunity to meet with each other and leaders as well as worship together and hear the Word of God preached.

While Wednesday nights are great, we seek to really grow in our relationship with God through our small group Bible studies. And lastly, the end goal is that students would take what they have learned and experienced and apply it through service. We get the chance to serve in many different ways. Students can help with meals at the Salvation army, go on short term mission trips, and participate in other outreaches. However, one of the most exciting ways in which high schoolers can serve, is by becoming a leader in the Quarry. Here, high schoolers are able to emulate what their leaders have done for them and invest in the next generation.
