Love God. Love Your Neighbor Part 1
Loving God is not a nebulous, ambitious, spiritual experience. It has practical outflow into our lives and the lives of others. Following Jesus and loving Jesus is full of joy and reward. We get to experience this joy through sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us. If He truly is the treasure that we prize so highly, we must share his beauty with those around us.
Love God. Love Your Neighbor Part 2
There are many lessons we can learn from Christ’s life, and one of them is how we must be present in our moments and circumstances in order to share the love of Christ. It’s difficult to shift our mindset to be look- ing for those in need, but once the Holy Spirit begins to change us we see that it’s easier than we think.
Vision & Values: Worship Jesus
As we continue in our series on VGF Church’s vision, we now come to our first value: Worship Jesus. This seems simple at first. Of course we would want to value worshipping Jesus! Why wouldn’t we? Surprisingly, however, we can easily forget that everything we do should be driven worshipping Jesus.
Vision & Values: Discipleship
This week we will be discussing our second value as a church: Discipleship. Throughout our lives we make tons of decisions, both small and large. These decisions aren’t made in a vacuum. There is reasoning that goes into them. We use emotion to process our decisions, but often times we don’t filter our decisions through any sort of values system. We at VGF desire to have a set values system that allows us to make sure that we are in step with what the Lord is calling us to do. Our first value was to worship Jesus in all that we do. This week, we are going to cover the value of disciples making disciples.
Vision & Values: Living in Community
Life is not designed to be lived alone. In a world where isolation is the norm and it's easy to get lost in the crowd, we need community and relationships more than ever. True growth and change come from deep relationships centered around the Good News of Jesus Christ. God created us to live in community, and we most effectively live out our mission as the family of God, together.
